Acacia Consulting led the Study of the problem of consumer indebtedness - Statistical aspects for the European Commission. The study examined existing concepts of consumer indebtedness and over-indebtedness, analysed the relationship between a household’s income and its debt and developed a consistent method of estimating the number of over-indebted households across the EU. It is highly relevant to current debates on consumer indebtedness and over-indebtedness. The study report, written in co-operation with ORC Macro International Social Research, can be downloaded.
